Dr. Andrea Lee Smith is an activist. Smith’s work focuses on issues of Native Americans. A co-founder of INCITE!, Women of Color Against Violence, the Boarding School Healing Project, and the Chicago chapter of Women Nations, Smith centers the experiences of women of color in both her activism and her scholarship. Smith is currently an associate professor in the Department of Media and Cultural Studies and Ethnic Studies at the University of California, Riverside.
